Premiering June 19

For Immediate Release

Two-time Juno Award-winning Afro-Cuban duo OKAN, led by Grammy nominated artists Elizabeth Rodriguez and Magdelys Savigne, returns with Ajé (Owo Nla Nla), a powerful Afro spiritual anthem and visually striking new video arriving June 19. The single will be available on all major streaming platforms."

Created in collaboration with Miami based producer FrankPal, Ajé (Owo Nla Nla) blends ancestral Yorùbá chants, Afro-Cuban spirituality, and contemporary global rhythms into a bold declaration of feminine abundance, prosperity, and creative power. Inspired by Ajé, the Yorùbá spiritual force associated with wealth, commerce, prosperity, and feminine energy, the song explores abundance beyond material wealth, embracing creativity, health, family, opportunity, and spiritual fulfillment.

Opening entirely in Yorùbá, the release marks an important artistic moment for OKAN as the duo intentionally moves closer to the language, pronunciation, and spiritual traditions that continue to shape their work while honoring their Afro-Cuban roots.

For generations, artists have often created from a place of struggle and survival. With Ajé, (Owo Nla Nla), OKAN shifts that narrative by choosing to manifest abundance through a feminine lens rooted in self worth, resilience, and the belief that prosperity begins spiritually before it becomes material.

Directed by visual artist Liz Lopez, the accompanying video transforms traditional symbolism into a bold contemporary visual world where spirituality, fashion, ritual, and futurism intersect. While Ajé has traditionally been represented through white and seashell imagery, the visual narrative reimagines wealth through the use of red, a color often associated with power, prosperity, sensuality, and force.

The result is both a prayer and a proclamation, a celebration of women who know their worth, protect their spirit, and create wealth on their own terms.

Ajé (Owo Nla Nla) and the official music video premiere June 19.
